There is something for everyone, whether holidaying or permanent living. Many "Blue Flag" beaches with excellent water sports can be enjoyed, including sailing, sea fishing, jet skiing and board surfing. Horse riding, go-karting, indoor-outdoor bowling, cycling are all available close by.

For those who enjoy the countryside there are numerous walking trails and fresh water lakes for fishing, bird watching around the salt lakes is recommended. Torrevieja still has a working fishing fleet from where you can visit a full size submarine and also take coastal boat trips. During the cooler months skiing can be enjoyed in the Sierra Nevada Mountains or Andorra.
